I’m still adjusting to Seattle weather after my trip. It’s been mostly jeans & t-shirt weather, but I’m not going to complain as long as it’s not raining.

The night before I left for Maui, June 5, I attended a tastemaker event hosted by Project Runway’s Nick Verreos for Basil Hayden Bourbon and Out Magazine. The party took place at Twist in Seattle and I have to admit, I’m pretty impressed with the turnout. My friend/plus one Lindsay and I don’t even like bourbon…or so we thought. The Basil Hayden cocktails concocted by Twist’s crafty bartenders were sweet, tart and refreshing…ideal!

After he auctioned off a stellar men’s look for charity, I had the chance to talk with Nick. First, I gushed about his barbie design from season two of Project Runway (pictured above), then we chatted about his new women’s line Nikolaki.  

Nikolaki is currently being sold at select Nordstrom’s in the Savvy department. Here are my favorite looks from the Spring 2008 collection:
