Clutch Look: Shacker Chic
I love playing dress up in mens clothes, but my boyfriend’s closet full of XL doesn’t exactly compliment my 5’5″ frame. What’s a girl to do? I could either get a smaller boyfriend (think TomKat) or buy my own mens clothes. So…a couple of days ago I picked up a mens shirt and tie from American Apparel.

I wore them yesterday with skinny jeans and pumps to add a feminine touch. My friend Shel commented on how the messy hair perfectly illustrated a “shacker” inspired look. For those who don’t know what shacking means – go check out Greek row on a college campus around 6am.

Wearing:
- Men’s shirt and tie: AA (shirt looks white, but it’s light gray)
- Jeans: Forever 21
- Pumps: XOXO

biznatch. love the get up. when do we get to see the bachelorette post:) ? xoxoxo ps hope to see you at oktoberfest this weekend. should be some good fashion disasters to blog on!
Love it.
I’m amassing an AA collection bit by bit. I saw this shirt in there and wondered about getting it. Now, I know for sure I am. Thanks! Did you go with a men’s small? And, do you suggest always trying on something before you buy out. Sometimes I tend to be impatient when it comes to trying things on. But, then I get home and wish I had because I don’t always like the look like I thought I would.
I love the hair
shacker or not.
db-bachelorette post coming soon.
cher-I bought an XXS in the mens shirt and didn’t try it on first. I usually wear an XS in the unisex tees at AA, but wanted a slimmer fit for the button-up shirt. Hope that helps!
Dana-Thanks so much…it’s a lot easier to wear it that way so you’ll prob see lots more of it.
I remember those girls and I’m pretty sure I’ve done the walk of shame, too.
wow you look beautiful! i love the outfit and will have to grab a shirt like that! x
thanks im heading there today and will try one on. you rock!
i got it!!! in xxs and I love it, can’t WAIT to wear it thanks for all the advice.
