Clutch22 Featured on Glamour.com x3!
It’s a pretty exciting feeling to wake up and check your daily reads only to find you’ve been pictured in a mainstream fashion outlet. To have this happen three times in one month…wow! Many thanks to Glamour.com’s Tracey Lomrantz for supporting indie style bloggers (like me) and incorporating our various fashion-terpretations in her Slaves to Fashion column.
In a post yesterday on the many ways to wear a scarf, Tracey featured my look below with a belt-turned bow-scarf as an unconventional alternative to traditional styles. Click here to read the full article and vote for your favorite look! While I’m up against some fierce competition, thanks in advance to all who vote for me!

Since it’s starting to get colder outside and we’re on the topic, I’ve outlined a few of my favorite trends in scarves for this season.
Fringe: Chictopia’s Kora rocked a printed fringe scarf by loosely draping it around her neck and shoulders. I LOVE this entire look because she took a simple color palette and made it edgy with her choice of accessories (i.e. boots, thigh-highs, scarf).
Vibrant colors: Bare Style was also featured in the Glamour post, but I wanted to show another scarf look from her since she has an eye for accessorizing with color. Adding more color to my wardrobe has been on my to-do’s for a long time, but it’s so hard for me to stray from black, grey and navy.
Draped: Chictopia’s theeverythinggirl is wearing her scarf casually draped, almost like a pashmina, which is perfect for dressing up an outfit (and staying warm). I have a Love Quotes scarf just like the one she is wearing and enjoy the versatility that comes with an extra large scarf. By the way, I’m obsessed with her gloves and must find a pair!
Neck-warmer: Chictopia’s _stylorectic is the epitome of rocker glam with her scarf weaved into a tight wrap around her neck. Though she’s wearing all black, the different textures and fabrics add dimension to the overall look.
Wrapped once: Chictopia’s Anastassia20 demonstrates a traditional way to wear a scarf by wrapping it once around the neck. It’s the perfect complement to her edgy city style, especially the leather jacket.
Eternal: Chictopia’s Lei is wearing a scarf wrapped into a loose circle shape, hence “eternal.” More and more retailers are beginning to sell eternal scarves (e.g. American Apparel), but I think Lei has done a pretty nice job at creating the look on her own.
