I don’t know about everyone else, but for me, it’s become almost more exciting to create different looks from old pieces of clothing than it is to buy new outfits! In planning your New Year’s Eve attire, just about anything goes, especially this year, whether your favorite LBD or a vibrant yellow satin top. SO…dig through your closet and see what you can come up with before using the plastic!

Here are a few looks I put together last night. It’s always great hearing from readers and I really appreciate those who weighed in on my holiday party looks. What about these?

If you’re stressing out and feel the need to buy something new, check out Forever 21, Express and/or American Apparel (I recommend the black latex tube dress – can be worn as a top, skirt or dress and makes a great under-piece). Though I’m confident one of the above will do the job for me, I’m stopping by the mall tonight or tomorrow in case anything catches my eye…more so for pieces that will work for outfits beyond NYE.

The Christine Dress by Cmarchuska is the perfect little black dress for winter. I particularly love the brown wooden buttons because it allows you to combine your brown and black accessories. It also looks great with colorful scarves and textured tights. The dress is a size small and the winner will also receive the black Hunter Scarf, which is incredibly soft!

Keeping the whole eco-friendly theme in mind (as you all know, I’m obsessed with SPUN), Cmarchuska is also known for stylish eco-friendly pieces. The dress retails for about $130 and the scarf costs $50.

Up until now, I haven’t seen many eco-friendly pieces that I could actually envision in my wardrobe. Usually, they are priced to high, only come in bland colors and tend to be generic styles…not anymore now that I’ve discovered SPUN! In fact, the boat neck top is my favorite shirt right now (expect to see it in upcoming outfit posts) and someone will win the purple in a size medium!

It looks adorable with dark skinny jeans and the length is incredibly flattering. My favorite part would have to be the subtle pockets on the sides. Funny story, I had coffee with the designer, Sara, when she dropped off the top a few weeks ago. Coincidentally, we were wearing the exact same dark skinnies from Forever 21! Those who read Clutch 22 regularly know how obsessed I am by the abundance of outfit posts they appear in.
