Weekend Ramblings: Wear and Where
Last weekend was pretty eventful - Portland friends came to Seattle to visit, first time playing Rock Band (I am horrible), and my boyfriend and I bought a Wii because I thought having a Wii Fit might inspire me to finally start working out again (it antagonizes you and makes you feel guilty!).
Friday night was fairly relaxed since we were all exhausted from a long week. My favorite part was showing up to Linds’ house only to find we looked like we got dressed from the same closet. Needless to say, I’m not the only one obsessed with the dark skinnies from F21 and buckled boots.

Saturday night was particularly memorable and began with my girlfriends and I meeting up for Sushi before a night on the town. It’s always hard to find “going out” attire for winter, especially when it’s SO cold like it was in Seattle this weekend. As an alternative to sleeveless dressy tops, I took an 80′s esque sweatshirt from American Apparel and dressed it up with jewelry, a studded belt, pumps and dramatic eye make-up. Maybe this wouldn’t work in other cities, but pretty much anything goes in Seattle.

After dinner, we stopped by Lava Lounge where we experienced Blueberry Lemondrop shots (mmmmm)…

….then a little Rock Band and coozies…

Finally, we capped the night off at Rob Roy (formerly Viceroy) where I made Linds pose with the bouncer who had a Euro vibe to his style. It’s fun taking pics of other people’s style, so I think I might start doing this more often to give you a peak at Seattle street style (though Pike/Pine already does a stellar job at this).

I am jealous of: your boots in first pic (makeup is dynamite as well!), your Wii.
Also, let me know if your Portland friends have blogs. I’m trying to network with other Portland fashion gals, but it seems like everyone in PDX who blogs is either just super snobby or only obsessed with knitting, or both. :/
Sounds like a fun weekend, i love that shirt from AA – comfy but still trendy – rock on
Being on clutch22 makes my day every time! What a great weekend…now we get to look forward to a Maggie weekend. Geez, er’re spoiled. I really like your idea to take pictures of strangers with style! Next time though, I hope Daniel doesn’t pretend to get mad at me for my assistance in the process!
Ooh, and I’m excited to see what you do for this weekend post, which I’m sure will have a touch of Super Bowl madness in it!
Pretty smiles!! Don’t worry about being good at Rock Band, it’s all in fun.
J – Thanks so much, doll! I’ll let you know if I think of anyone in P-town. Let me know if you make it up to Seattle (I’ll do the same)! I’d love to meet and talk fashion.
cher – The AA top was such a good investment! So cozy!
Linds – Thanks for making my wknds exciting! We should prob. sync soon b/c it will be triple the fun with Maggie this wknd! You should help me take pics with not-so-great ensembles too!
Eyeliah – Haha, thanks for the encouragement. I’m too competitive sometimes, and it’s painful to be sucky at something like that!
I think that is an excellent idea! I’ll get it in my head now so when Maggie is here we can be on full fledged ensamble lookout when we’re out on the town!
First not-so-great ensamble will probably be Jordan’s. Haha. Jokes.
P.S. I have a question…if my work appropriate attire is business casual, could I make my buckled boots work with an outfit that would meet this criteria ie. some sort of skirt and tights? I thought about that this morning, but couldn’t decide.
I LOVE that bag!
