Bad Reason to Go Shopping
You know how they say you shouldn’t go grocery shopping when you’re hungry? I think the same applies with walking through a mall when you have a pile of laundry waiting for you at home.
Last night I stopped by Bellevue Square with a friend after work. I survived Savvy, TBD and the entire shoe department at Nordstrom before grabbing dinner in the cafe. Feeling good about not “needing” to buy anything, I let my guard down on my way out. Suddenly, a magnetic force in the lingerie department sucked me in forcing me to spend $50 on two new Hanky Panky pieces. I blame the hypnotizing colors featured in their latest line. As if the laundry waiting at home weren’t enough incentive, how could I resist bright kiwi lime and polka dots?

Maybe it’s hard to justify spending $50 on two pairs of underwear, especially when you didn’t even spend that much on your latest handbag. However, for me it’s totally worth the investment – the comfort is unmatched by any other brand. Needing to laundry made it ever more apparent as I had to dip into my non-Hanky Panky stash.
By the way, I love grocery shopping when hungry. It’s so much more satisfying when you get home!

Grocery shopping when hungry is my favorite past time! I also thoroughly enjoy the danger of clothes shopping on pay day. Those hanky panky color combos ARE very charming!
You’re so right about shopping when you have to do laundry – it’s bad news!
umm…I did the same thing last week. Walking through Nordstroms to get to my car faster…they are the most comfortable things ever!
Those are cute. I’ve been complaining about having to do laundry while wearing the uncomfy brands. I need some new pairs. Maybe Hanky Panky is the panties path for me!
I do this on a regular basis! It’s such a hassle to do laundry, and it’s not like I’m ever going to run out of clothes to wear. So yeah, underwear and sock re-stock trips to TJ Maxx happen way too often for me. Those are adorable, by the way.
jesspgh – Haha, you like living on the edge…what’s wrong with that?
Jillian – Sometimes postponing something to save a few hours justifies the spending, right?
laura – LOL!
Beka – It’s time for you to convert, woman!
najeema – Haha, at least you go where you can get them for a discount!
Underwear is the BEST stuff to splurge on, my Calvins are the best items in my closet.
Totally wort your 50 bucks.
Do you have a Nordstrom’s Rack near you? That’s where I buy all my Hanky Panky thongs. They are usually under $10!
So crazy about bright colors… those are really cute!
