PostHeaderIcon NYC Haul: Only 60 Minutes to Shop

Ideally, I would have had at least a full day to shop in NYC, but what’s a working girl to do? I had to make the most out of 60 minutes on the corner of 5th Avenue and 42nd Street - Zara and H&M. Surprisingly, I flew home feeling completely satisfied.

The Goods…

Had there been more time to explore, here are the places I would have explored (thanks to the awesome recommendations from the NY fashion twitteratti Fashonnaburu, eye4style, carolynlhsu, LifeStylerMag, jesspgh, dreamsequins, Tfashionista and jazzimcg).

I guess that means I’ll have to plan another NYC trip soon! Just curious, would love to hear your favorite clothing/accessory shops…even if beyond NY. Please feel free to share!

  • AH! You’re so adorable. The video was a great idea– it’s wonderful to see your face expressions, hear your voice, for those of us who don’t get the pleasure of being in Seattle (or at Fashion Week!)

  • dreamsequins says:

Love the video feature! :) I just signed up for Vimeo myself and will be experimenting with some video posting. So fun! Wow. Looks like you got some great stuff… in just 60 minutes, too. Next time you’re in New York, we’ll take you to some funkier boutiques downtown!

  • JordyBee says:

Ashe Mischief – Aw, so sweet of you to say. I hate seeing/hearing myself on video, but think it tells a better story. Hopefully we’ll finally meet sometime soon!

dreamsequins – I’ll totally take you up on the funky boutique shopping!

  • Meg says:

Wow, you did an amazing job to get all of that in only one hour! I am a very slow shopper, so that would have been nearly impossible for me. I especially love the minidress and those amazing shoes! And the faded demin jacket. But it all is really great!

  • jesspgh says:

I am totally impressed by your haul! Did you have time to try things on in that hour? I know those particular H&M and Zara locations are usually swarming with people so between waiting in lines for the dressing rooms and cash register I don’t know how you did it! As an aside I love when bloggers “vlog” and those shoes are fantastic!

  • Alyssa says:

Wow! That is a seriously impressive haul for two stores in one hour! I would have been lucky to come away with one item. I didn’t get to hit up many of the shops last time I was in NYC either, there are so many I need to go to!! Love the video :-)

  • JordyBee says:

Meg – It was a very lucky trip. :) Sometimes I spend three hours and find nothing!

jesspgh – I didn’t try anything on. It’s gotten to the point where I can usually hold something up and know if it will fit. Thankfully, it all worked out nicely. Glad you liked the vid!

Alyssa – We need to make time to shop at NYFW next time!

  • great vid! very clear to understand and upbeat.:)

wow you really tornadoed right thru those 2 stores and made the most of it.:p
i love the chain tank top. very cool.

  • Sara says:

I still can’t believe you scored all of these pieces in an hour. I’m adding “super shopper” to my ongoing list of things you’re good at! Also, I would like to add, that you are 100% yourself in this video…so sweet and cute. <3 Sara

  • JordyBee says:

glamouricious – Thanks! Yeah, it was a little chaotic, but I got there right when they opened.

Sara – Haha, thanks for keeping a tally on me. Glad you approve!

  • Jess says:

can i just say, you are the cutest thing ever and also the most efficient shopper i have ever met. great finds! xo.jess

  • agentnoir says:

I am in complete shock and amazement! I love this because when I only have 60 minutes to shop, I’m sure its such a lost cause but you managed to find SO much! way to capitalize on that time! love the video too! xx

  • Linds says:

You got such cute stuff! I love the denim jacket and the striped dress…and the exposed zipper top…and EVERYTHING else! I’m so glad you found at least some time to shop. What’s going to NYC without shopping? You made a haul! Can’t wait to see it in “real life”! :)

  • Jules says:

That is soo many items for one hour. I usually walk into a dressing room with ten things and walk out with one at best! Love the last shirt, looks like it’ll be a lot of fun to wear :)

  • hauteworld says:

Wow, I’m impressed with your haul! But if I only had 60 mins to shop, I would probably have done the same. A lot of my favorite items are from Zara and H&M, and those are one of the few places I don’t need to try on clothes, because I know their sizing so well. I especially like the first tee you pulled out, as well as the vest and the denim jacket :)

  • Cordelia says:

you are so adorable and so comfortable on screen! it was so nice to watch you!! And i have a similar zara zipper top (if u remember!! lol) I need to shop more!! xC

  • rain says:

owww…. too bad I cannot see the your video :(

    xoxo
