VIDEO: RACHEL Rachel Roy for Macy’s
I love when fashion designers get social media savvy and Rachel Roy has been standing out over the past several months. Putting my work hat on for a second…It’s really difficult to create a video for a brand that actually inspires re-posts, especially among bloggers who are very selective with their content (guilty!), but this video magically put me in a good mood as RR’s special Macy’s collection pieces hypnotized me.
The pieces are available at Macy’s and will debut in a Manhattan pop-up store next week timed with Fashion’s Night Out (more details on my plan for the evening coming soon).
For more information, visit http://www.macys.com/RachelRoy. Also, you can follow @Rachel_Roy on Twitter and become a fan of her on Facebook.
Green w/ Indie: SPUN + Revival Ink Exclusive
***UPDATED: Congrats to Hazel Grace for winning the SPUN beater tank!***
Though I’m preparing to make the jump from left coast to right, I want to shed some light on my favorite indie brands from the Emereld City before I go. When Sara Seumae of SPUN offered me the exclusive on a new partnership for her organic cotton eco-clothing line, I was more than honored to help get the word out.

Sara has teamed up with fellow Seattle indie greentrepreneuress Tara Smith of Revival Ink (provides eco-friendly apparel printing by hand). The collaboration involves Read the rest of this entry »
Links à la Mode: The IFB Weekly Roundup

Playing Dress Up
I’m in the process of moving to New York City, just in time for Fashion Week, which kicks off in two weeks. In browsing through all the Independent Fashion Blogger link submissions this week’s round-up, I couldn’t help but tie it all back to one very important question lingering on my mind – what the heck am I going to wear? Guest Post: In Front of the Lens
A couple of weeks ago, I had a photo shoot for the September issue of DList Magazine and decided to tap my friend Sara Anissipour for her modeling expertise. Without having that background beyond tween runway shows for Nordstrom when I was little, I wanted to get insight on the things “models” do/don’t do by nature in shoots. Below is a guest post Sara wrote up on this topic so I could share with all of you.

When Jordana asked me to do a guest post for Clutch 22, I was more than honored to partake. While I have a background and love for fashion like her (we also work together at the same PR firm), most of my experience has come from being in front of the camera. Modeling has allowed me to go into character and experience fashion in its artistic form. Read the rest of this entry »
NYFW is Sept. 10 – 17: Tell Me What You Want
My move to the big apple is coincidentally just in time for Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010. I submitted my registration application to IMG last night and am also working on a few outside-the-tent gatherings.
