Vivienne Tam SS10 – Fierce & Flirtacious
Vivienne Tam blew me away again with her spring 2010 presentation. She basically found a way to blend some of my favorite styles together ranging from boho tech to flirtacious glam. On top of that, she debuted the 2nd generation HP mini digital clutch during the presentation…and even though I already have one from last season, I wannnnt it (brilliant marketing)! Ha!
As a sucker for the standout pieces in every collection, it’s no surprise the look above had me on the edge of my seat. A seasonless blend of colors and black plus sequins!? Amazing! On top of that, the model had teased hair and was carrying the digital clutch.
From an event execution standpoint, I was very impressed with the creative digital components added to the event including a live broadcast from Yuli Ziv on the runway and a live stream of the entire presentation hosted by StyleCaster. As someone heavily involved in similar efforts for my job, I can’t help but get a little geeky when I see fashion designers keeping up with tech brands in social media. On top of that, how incredible is it that Vivienne Tam embraces fashion bloggers? My heart fluttered when I got my seat assignment (thank you Dina, Sarah, Lauren, Jessica, Veronica and the rest of the Attention PR crew). What, you mean I don’t have to battle in line for standing room with entitled bitches trying to sneak in (more on that in a future post)? It made the biggest difference because I was actually able to fully immerse myself in the presentation with a positive state of mind.

I enjoyed watching her collection too and I think it was genius of her to incorporate technology into the fashion show.
So I first fell in love with Ms. Tam last year when you won the mini laptop. I was very impressed that she offered bloggers their own set-up during fashion week. Of course I expected it again this year but to see the beautiful mini with the butterflies….ummm, I want one NOW! The picture of Ms. Tam with her mini clutch is to die for. I love her dress and her clutch. She’s a talent who realizes the true benefit of intergrating digital tech with fashion. Hats off.
Wow that is so so so cute. I also love the chiffon blouses.
