Prior to New York Fashion Week and the Independent Fashion Bloggers Dress Up Soiree, I had a dream come true thanks to Jesica Milton, an amazing contemporary designer based in Seattle. She designed a “Jordie” dress for me to wear to the Dress Up event and let me into her studio to see show me the creation process first hand. WOW!

On top of the honor that comes with having a piece named after me, to actually see it come from concept to reality felt like a real life Project Runway experience…and I got to be the model! Below is a slide show of the dress from start to finish.

Jesica recently showed the dress as her finale piece at Portland Fashion Week, among other drool-worthy pieces. Before moving to New York, I bought the grey swing skirt in the outfit pic below and have worn it in at least five different outfits. It’s the perfect piece to take you from fall to winter.
