Cyber Monday: Online Boutique Shopping
Cyber Monday is hands down the biggest online shopping holiday of the year. I’m the last person you’ll find among Black Friday chaos because I’ve learned you can get almost as good of deals, if not better in some cases, online.

While I’m not the expert for all-things Cyber Monday, here are some of my personal rules of thumb (hence the above pic) when it comes to an area I’ve grown to know very well – contemporary online boutiques (i.e. Shopbop, Revolve Clothing, Singer22, Manhattanite, Chick Downtown, etc.). Final AMSB Challenge: Tie-Dye Leggings
The fifth and final challenge for America’s Most Stylish Blogger involved a pair of tie-dye leggings by Plan B, courtesy of Bluefly. I’m a huge fan of all kinds of legwear, even dramatic as seen with the fabulous panelled leggings I snagged from I Heart Norwegian Wood over the summer. However, for this challenge, I ended up choosing a look from pieces I already owned that involved layering my DIY slashed leggings overtop of the tie-dye. For more details on the thought process, read my my post at StyleList.

Rue La La is actually one of my favorite of the online sample sale sites. Last Thanksgiving, I wasn’t near a computer and ended up purchasing Hanky Panky gift sets straight from my phone. If you aren’t a member yet, here’s a referral from Clutch22. If you sign up before December 24, you’ll get $10 store credit Read the rest of this entry »

Additionally, a top inspired by the winning design will be produced and sold in Charlotte Russe stores.

The above is not an entry, just a visual I had fun putting together for you.
Let me know if you enter! If I end up doing one, I’ll be sure to post, but happy to help support your submission Read the rest of this entry »
In-Store Photo Policies: Time for a Change?
Ok. I’ve had my hand nearly slapped at least a dozen times over the past month when trying to snap a few pics inside stores on my NYC shopping adventures. Let me preface by saying I understand there are “reasons” why they have these policies in place, but as a PR nerd girl, I’m counting the number of missed opportunities they encounter as a result.

One instance in particular occurred last week at Opening Ceremony. It was my first time in the store and I caught a glimpse of some really intruiging jewelry I wanted to post about. When the staff shook their finger at me, they let me know I could pull the pics from their website. To be frank, it totally killed the inspiration. Seriously, I’m trying to promote your brand for free and your asking me to add extra steps? On top of that, Read the rest of this entry »
