Vote in AMSB Challenge 2: Prada Booties!
The second challenge for America’s Most Stylish Blogger has officially kicked off! This week, Bluefly and StyleList tasked us with styling a look around these amazing Prada booties (my first luxury designer shoes ever)!!

After trying to do “too much” in last week boyfriend vest competition, I decided to create a look that better represented my personal style and that I’d feel 100% confident wearing in public. Though I added chains and spikes to the shoes, I kept it simple with the rest of the look in an effort to balance the edge with some elegance. Here’s a little visual of my inspiration:

The next image shows the detail of the outfit a lot better, but I chose to submit the first pic given it told the story I was trying to tell. The Prada booties are traffic stoppers…and if that doesn’t do it, the spikes on my heels might!

Wearing:
- Booties: Prada (via Bluefly)
- Jumpsuit: French Connection
- Top: Topshop
- Shoe jewelry: Litter SF (via Moxsie)
- Rings: Made Her Think (bar ring) and no name brand (apple)
- Lipstick: Revelon Hot Coral (only adding this b/c I love it so much)
I was thrilled to hear such positive feedback from this week’s celebrity guest judge, Tibi owner/designer Amy Smilovic. One thing in particular she mentioned she liked were the “little necklaces” for my shoes. Watch the video below to hear her critique of all the candidates.
You can read my full entry behind my outfit selection process on StyleList here. Stay tuned for the next challenge – a hot pink cotton, stretch mini skirt! Let me know if you want a sneak peek at my draft outfit shots before I send over tomorrow (I’ll email them to you). Also, special thanks to Sara, Ashley, Lindsay, Jess, Birdie, Jennine, Julia, Mariella, Nadine and Gabby for helping me decide on this week’s submission. The below look was my back-up, but I decided the tights with the shoes were too distracting.

Wearing:
- Accessories: Same as above
- Blazer: Zara
- Dress: Topshop
Last, but not least…help me compete by voting daily. Right now I’m falling behind and am in 7th place, but the only way to change that is with your support. Thanks for all the votes so far!

Hey girl!
OK Love the outfit. I could never pull it off but you sure do. Look 1 worlds better than look 2 for the shoes. I know it doesn’t matter now, but i like the second pic you showed in your post alot better than the first one because you can see the details of the outfit better, it looks like a better quality picture and you look smoking hot in it!! Plus you can see the spikes on the shoes as well, which i coudln’t see in the first pic.
ANywayy hope all is well in NYC!

And of course I voted for yoU!
You rock those Pradas well in both looks, but look 1 really does make the shoes stand out! Good luck!

Wow, what a great post! I, of course, cannot wait to see the pictures for the next look. We need to get you out of 7th place… I have voted everyday! Can everyone else say that??? C’mon people!!!
I absolutely adore this outfit! Def one of my favorites from this weeks AMSB challenge.
I’m coveting your booties so hard, right now. That sounds dirty; I assure you it’s not though.
You look a lot older all of a sudden – very mature. I love the look, especially the top, but I honestly think those shoes are kind of ugly! I’m sure I’m in the minority there. LOVE the red lips – wish we had a better-lit shot of your makeup/face.
You were definitely the most clever when it comes to working with the booties. Those booties needed your own personal touch… and the expert was inspired by your creativity. You’re rad.
I think going with the first outfit was definitely the right choice, it’s simple but striking.
Consider yourself voted for!
Good choice, the outfit you chose for the booties is fantastic. Good Luck!
i voted for you (:
I think you had the best look in this challenge. Love how you added jewelry to the shoes, giving your outfit a one-of-a-kind look!
Fabulous – I voted for you too. (And I may have been influenced to buy those booties too…. Dammit, they are fabulous!)
Great look. Love your “shoe necklaces”
Oh they are lovely booties! And you’ve styled them very well. I liked last weeks look but this one is a deffinite contrast which shows you’re good at lots of styles!
