CuteCircuit’s Twinkling LED Galaxy Dress
My coworker Catherine just sent me a link about London-based designer duo CuteCircuit’s 24,000 LED Galaxy Dress and I couldn’t resist a quick post to share it with you. Wow! The dress is said to be the largest wearable display in the world and will undoubtedly steal the “spotlight” in an exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

With more than 4,000 Swarovski crystals decorating areas of the dress where there aren’t LEDs, the designers found a way to make the dress look amazing even when turned off. Check out the video below and to read more about the technical side of this masterpiece, read the article from WIRED.

Love when designers think outside the box. The merging of apparel and technology is really the future of fashion, in subtle and not so subtle (as the galaxy dress) ways!
