AMSB Challenge #4: Red English Plaid Top
The fourth challenge (out of five) for the Bluefly and StyleList America’s Most Stylish Blogger competition kicked off today and we were tasked with creating a look with this red plaid blouse by Priorities.
I immediately knew I wanted to channel Seattle street casual style and add in a little New York City edge with the thigh high boots. What’s different this time around was that I had the opportunity to have my photo snapped by Adam, the talented street style photographer behind the lens of 21 Arrondissement. He happened to be in New York, visiting from Seattle, a couple of days after the shirt arrived!
This week’s judge was Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin (a Vogue CFDA nominee). She was pretty fair and constructive across the board. Click here to watch the video and check out my post on StyleList describing my outfit selection.

Seattle Grunge – first of all, it shows your IP address when you comment, and as it turns out, you are from Canada and left a comment under a different name for the last challenge. If you don’t like my style, why invest time in reading my blog and leaving comments? Wow, I wish I had that kind of free time. Seriously…I can’t think of a single person that I respect who would ever take the time to do that. Hopefully you can find some style blogs you do like…and maybe a life while you’re at it.

“Seattle Grunge” – I’m with Jess on this one. Hiding behind an IP address is a chickenshit way to go about life. If you’re so damn stylish, put your money where your mouth is. I would like to see you do better. Also, as I mentioned on what I believe was your last atrocious comment, learn to spell-check. Punctuation is your friend.
I find seattlegrunge‘s comment interesting. Clearly you HAVE style, even if SG doesn’t like it. But the fact that SG refuses to acknowledge it? Screams “envy” to me.

Ok, from a guy’s perspective, that plaid look is amazing! The thigh boots take it to a whole new level of cool, while still being sophistocated. I am over the moon about the thigh boot trend and hope it continues for another hundred years. Great photos. Thanks!
