AMSB Challenge #4: Red English Plaid Top
The fourth challenge (out of five) for the Bluefly and StyleList America’s Most Stylish Blogger competition kicked off today and we were tasked with creating a look with this red plaid blouse by Priorities.

I immediately knew I wanted to channel Seattle street casual style and add in a little New York City edge with the thigh high boots. What’s different this time around was that I had the opportunity to have my photo snapped by Adam, the talented street style photographer behind the lens of 21 Arrondissement. He happened Read the rest of this entry »
CuteCircuit’s Twinkling LED Galaxy Dress
My coworker Catherine just sent me a link about London-based designer duo CuteCircuit’s 24,000 LED Galaxy Dress and I couldn’t resist a quick post to share it with you. Wow! The dress is said to be the largest wearable display in the world and will undoubtedly steal the “spotlight” in an exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

With more than 4,000 Swarovski crystals decorating areas of the dress where there aren’t LEDs, the designers found a way to make the dress look amazing even when turned off. Check out the video below Read the rest of this entry »

AMSB Challenge #3: Hot Pink Mini
It’s here – challenge number three for America’s Most Stylish Blogger! This week, Bluefly and StyleList tasked us with styling a stretchy hot pink mini skirt by Necessary Objects. It’s not the most flattering color and very easy to head the direction of the fabulous Julia Roberts and her not-so-stylish character in Pretty Woman. However, I think adding in something afforable and versatile (with a color that pushes the boundaries) made the contest more interesting.

Right off the bat, I thought of the many ways to wear it beyond how it’s supposed to be worn. Those of you who have been following Clutch22 probably aren’t surprised I tried it as a hooded scarf and a one shoulder shawl/crop top, among other things I chose not to include in the slideshow below. I also tried out a number of looks wearing it as it should be and decided to go that direction.
Guest judge, the ever-fabulous Nicole Miller, was a fan Read the rest of this entry »
