Clutch Look: Wearing WHERE
Today is my last day in New York City for a couple of weeks because I’m flying home to Seattle tomorrow! Tonight I’m heading to a blogger party hosted by Julia DiNardo of Fashion Pulse. Getting dressed and living in NYC takes more time since I usually have to go straight from work to whatever event or meet-up is taking place that evening.

Today I was totally feeling mixed metals and really wanted to wear the new boots that WHERE generously sent me, which have stud detailing down the sides.
Wearing:
- Tee: Nordstrom
- Vest: Forever 21
- Jeans: Anlo
- Boots: WHERE
- Ring: Made Her Think
- Necklace: The Limited
- Bag: Love Culture
Why I Heart WHERE
On top of the fact that I was already in the market for a new pair of black boots (actually, I’m pretty much always in the market for boots), I was thrilled when I got an email from WHERE designer Laura Villasenin because I’ve had my eye on this brand for awhile. First, I love discovering and supporting small, independent and/or up and coming brands. I was also pleased to learn all of WHERE’s products are sustainable and handmade through small artisan communities they work with around the world. WHERE is based in the UK and you can read the rest of their story here.
The Arianna boots have a hidden wedge and sort of have a reverse spats thing going for them (remind me of my DIY Maison Martin Margiela booties post), which I love. They are also the only non-flat footwear I own that I can actually wear around the city without having to switch to the flats I carry in my bag. As for size, I’m usually a 7-7.5 and the 38 fit perfectly. They cost about $245 and you can now order them in the US via one of my favorite edgy shops, Pixie Market. If you don’t mind overseas shipping (can take longer), you can also order them directly from WHERE for about $195 including shipping with coupon code FASHIONPASSION, which gives you 30% off.

A Review of the New Jeans
The picture doesn’t show it that well, but I’m also wearing a new pair of jeans that have a wet, leather look to them. They are the Anlo Willa Straight style from Manhattanite. Anyone who knows women and denim knows the importance of pocket placement. If too high, they give you a mom-butt and if too low, they flatten your butt. For me, the pockets are just right. I asked Jeanette, the owner of Manhattanite, what size to get and she advised to order up a size. Most of my jeans are 25 or 26, but I took her advice and went for the 27….she was totally right. Unless you have super skinny legs, I would recommend going up a size. For me, they are a little loose in the waist, but tight everywhere else, in a good way.
The jeans retail for $222, but you can get them for 25% off at Manhattanite through Thursday with code HOLIDAY25, which would bring the total down to about $166.

Jordy, Jordy,
Looking supa dupa fly even for a lassie
Perhaps there has been intentional subliminal messages regarding war and patriotism in fashion. Ya’know? This sexy soldier thing keeps cycling itself through generation (about the same time we are one’s with another, less developed country when you think about it). Anyway, I will always love the militant look and your boots give me a hearty a dose of of that. Oh, the TEAZ tag (on the storefront grade) gives your pic a capital U in urban chic. So, I suppose this tangent has gone on to far, stay up Jordy!
XOXO
