Vivienne Tam AW10: Origami Be Mine
I had the pleasure of going back stage to say a quick hello to Vivienne before her fall 2010 presentation this past Saturday. I’ve been a fan of her’s for a long time, but this was actually the first time we met…she’s even more sweet and humble than I imagined.

Her fall 2010 collection was elegant and feminine, as expected; but also involved sharper edges with layered textures, feathers, ruffles, ombre and more. Colors were mostly black, grey and neutral tones with hints of deep red. The fabrics, structure and shapes are what really tell the story of her collection. The first thing that came to my mind was romantic origami. Coincidentally, it was the night before Valentine’s Day. LOVE! See for yourself!

^I NEED the tights in the above right photo!

Also, here’s a video of Style Coalition co-founder and My It Things founder, Yuli Ziv, interviewing Vivienne before the show.
The night before her collection, I was invited to her Soho boutique for champagne, chocolate and chic geekery goodness with HP and Monster Cable. I’m attending a breakfast out there tomorrow, after which, I’ll fill you in on the juicy details of the latest in Vivienne’s fashionable tech projects. For a little refresher, check out my post of her runway show last fall (Buttefly Lovers HP Digital Clutch).

I love the sleek ponytail. I think it’s sexy.
AMAZING! I love the knife pleat origami dress. That video is awesome too.
umm..wow! I haven’t drooled over clothes in a really long time! These are gorgeous and inspiring. Wish I could see them all (and own them) in real life!
