Sketched: Purple Gaze
I’ve always had a deep passion for painting and illustrating (basically, anything art), but it’s been years since the last time I got out my sketchbook. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a set of water-color pencils and have been experimenting. I’m hoping I can make this fit into my life again. Still super rusty, but excited to do more.
Any suggestions for inspiration? I usually have some sort of inspiration, but this was a spontaneous, practice-sort-of piece.
I think it’s awesome! Rusty or not I see the talent. I love the expression on her face. What was your inspiration? I can’t draw to save my life and it’s something I always wish I could do. Trust me, I really can’t…lol

I’ve started doing the same thing too, but have yet to be so bold as to put them on my blog. Get inspired by what you love (fashion, technology, people), just hang out in a park in NYC I’m sure you’ll find lots of inspiration all over the city.
I always like to take snapshots on my camera phone of things that strikes me as interesting or pretty for inspiration later. Love the drawing, it looks like a space age version of you!
So proud of you! This is way better than the picture you drew for my girls. I guess watercolor is better than crayons!

Lovely! Perhaps it’s the Asian in me but I see a little reminiscence of anime in the eyes
