I had the delight of attending Express‘ 30 Years of Fashion party last night, co-hosted by Vogue. Thanks Wendy from Nitrolicious for inviting me to be your plus one! Overall takeaway of the night – add Express to your next shopping stop and VV Brown to your playlists…stat! I’ve never been to an Express event and didn’t know what to expect, but I was beyond impressed with the runway show and entertainment. VV Brown…WOW! I’m about to download every single song. The video above is a little snip from her performance on the runway. Before VV went on, Express showed off some new looks. The DJ (not sure on who?) was awesome – everyone around me was dancing alongside the runway! There were a lot of pieces that might find a way into my wardrobe come fall…lots of sparkles, leather, lace and dramatic jewelry…not the same old, same old though – fresh! Express did a live video feed for the party…did anyone watch?

Did I mention Ed Westwick and Chanel Iman were there? I’m too bashful to approach celebs most of the time, but they were even more posh in person than I imagined. Speaking of Chuck Bass…WTH?! Did you see the Gossip Girl finale? I think he’ll end up in a hospital “all summer” and it’ll add a new twist to the Blair + Chuck relationship when the next season starts. You? They want us to think he might not make it, but I think we would have heard rumors if he were leaving the show.
