Breast Cancer Awareness Month starts tomorrow, October 1. I’ve seen a lot of cool charitable things from brands, but am especially appreciative of Ralph Lauren for giving me a chance to become part of its efforts. As part of Polo Ralph Lauren’s global initiative to support breast cancer awareness, the company has teamed up with 100 bloggers to style and sport looks rocking the Pink Pony. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Pink Pony Fund, which has raised over $40 million to fight cancer in 13 different countries. Having seen loved ones affected by the illness, this cause is very special to me and I was beyond thrilled to participate. I kept my look pretty preppy as you can see, with a grey Jesica Milton circle skirt, black pumps with scrunchy socks and my favorite cashmere pashmina.

In addition to 100 bloggers wearing the Pink Pony, Ralph Lauren is also doing a few other things to contribute to the cause. Tomorrow it will launch its first Pink Pony Online Auction through CharityBuzz. Showcasing over 200 unique items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences,  100% of net proceeds from this auction will benefit the Pink Pony Fund of The Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation.
