Live From HP’s SATC2 Panel

I’m at the Milleneum Hotel in NYC listening to HP’s design panel, covering fashion and tech in light of the Sex & the City 2 movie (going to a special screening later tonight…stay tuned!). The panel includes the following personalities:
- Fern Mallis (former head of IMG fashion)
- Vivienne Tam (I wearing a dress from her new collection and am carrying my VT digital clutch today)
- Emilio Sosa (Project Runway season 7 finalist)
- Kimberly Minor (Priscilla of Boston…uses tech for her bridal customers)
- Sandy Cheng (from HP)
Had some wireless difficulties at the start, but I will update more later.
2:21 PM Someone just asked about how technology is integrated…Fern Mallis is talking about the curse of the “reply-all.” She doesn’t consider herself to be super tech savvy.
2:25 PM Vivienne is talking about technology and products. She says the most important thing to consider when selling is the design. It has to be appealing in order for people to purchase.
2:27 PM Someone asked if HP is exploring technology and clothing….interesting! Doesn’t look like they are heading that direction though.
2:30 PM The panel is wrapping…I’ll update with more thoughts later.
Off to photo stalk some of the fab attendees! Thank you HP!!
Express 30 Years With Vogue + VV Brown!
I had the delight of attending Express‘ 30 Years of Fashion party last night, co-hosted by Vogue. Thanks Wendy from Nitrolicious for inviting me to be your plus one! Overall takeaway of the night – add Express to your next shopping stop and VV Brown to your playlists…stat! I’ve never been to an Express event and didn’t know what to expect, but I was beyond impressed with the runway show and entertainment. VV Brown…WOW! I’m about to download every single song. The video above is a little snip from her performance on the runway. Before VV went on, Express showed off some new looks. The DJ (not sure on who?) was Read the rest of this entry »
UNBOXING: Vivienne Tam HP Digital Clutch
If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know I’ve been a little busy with the day job lately. I have some free time coming up and I can’t wait to catch up on all the exciting things I’ve seen/heard about so far this spring. Last week when I was cranking away in the office, a little surprise arrived for me from the generous and oh-so-lovely, Vivienne Tam. It was her new HP Mini 210 Butterfly Lovers netbook – GASP!!! She also sent me the matching mouse and an amazing scarf from the spring collection, which I plan to work into some upcoming outfits. Check out the unboxing video above! Read the rest of this entry »
SJP: Mogul Maven, Master of the NY Minute
Who’s excited for Sex & the City 2??? I’m going to a premiere party for HP next Tuesday and am SO excited! HP has just announced Sarah Jessica Parker as the new face of their “Computer is Personal Again” ad campaign! Good timing since a lot of HP’s fashionable products are in the movie. Above is the first video for the campaign.
By the way, what the heck should I wear to the SATC 2 party? I want to be Read the rest of this entry »
VENT-age Jewelry by WendyB

Let’s just say I’ve been a little edgy lately and not in the fashionable sort of way. I can’t really go into detail, so instead, I thought I’d share a stylish solution for wanting to scream @%#^&@# at the top of your lungs. Thanks to Wendy Brandes’ Swear Rings, there’s a whole new and sassy meaning to “talk to the hand.” For Read the rest of this entry »
Mobile Post: To Fall for a Shoe
Let me tell you about my fairy tale shoe experience…Like a lot of shoe obsessed girls, I’ve been on the hunt for Miu Miu Swallow satin platform pumps. They are literally nowhere to be found, not even on eBay! I even called Nordstrom to have them search their stores and no luck. They have the pump version, but it’s a completely different shoe.
All of this changed for me on Saturday afternoon when I dropped in Bergdorf’s for the very first time, went up to level two and saw the mythical shoe on display with a beam of light shining down; choir singing “ah.” It was a 38!!! I asked my new fav SA (aka Sales Associate) if they actually had it before I got my hopes up. He confirmed they did and as expected, it was the last pair. After playing Cinderella
Mobile Post: Chanel Storefront
On the way to the gym this morning, I purposely took a six block detour to walk through one of my favorite blocks in NYC…

Just past Bergdorf’s on 57th between 5th and Madison, you’ll stumble upon Miu Miu, Chanel and Dior stacked in a row. I’m usually a little timid about going in stores like these in the same way I don’t want celebrities to catch me staring at them. Unless I have something to say, or in this case, intent to splurge, I prefer to soak up the window displays, hoping Read the rest of this entry »

Iconic British designer, Lulu Guinness has officially launched the US website, which includes e-commerce! In light of last week’s launch, I had the pleasure of meeting Lulu in person – what a delight!

Sex & the City 2: Sneak Peek of Geek Chic
Calling all SATC fans! I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty stoked for the sequel next month! A little birdie gave me a heads up about some goodies we can expect to see in the movie. It looks like HP has been cast as the newest character! In the movie, we’ll see a ton of fashionable gear including the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Butterfly Lovers clutch, HP TouchSmart PCs and the HP TouchSmart tm2. Check out the trailer and images below!
Could this mean we might be seeing less of a certain fruit in the movie? The first Read the rest of this entry »
C22 Quoted in the Inside Source
Fashionista.com editor Lauren Sherman, who I recently met at a few NYFW events, wrote a story for eBay’s The Inside Source this week on three of the toughest trends to pull off from the runways – lightweight leather, socks with sandals and sweatpants (in a non-loungy way). She came to me as a source for her story and I was beyond flattered to weigh in. I think my first reaction was, “What? You remember me and have been to my website?!” Check out Lauren’s story below. Which of these three trends are you most likely to sport and how would you style them on yourself?
