PostHeaderIcon Unboxing: Monster Cable Butterfly Vivienne Tam In-Ear Speakers!

A little surprise came in the mail today from Monster Cable! It’s the new Butterfly Love Vivienne Tam high fashion, in-ear speakers! The packaging is so gorgeous I don’t even want to take them out of the box! I’ve never had nice headphones before and can’t wait to try them out.

Monster Cable’s Control Talk feature enables the stylish buds to dub as a headset for those of you who get your best phone talking when on the go (something I desperately need for my walks to and from work). Can’t wait to try these out and bounce between conference calls and Gaga! More photos from the unboxing after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Camp Fenton Fallon DIY Jewelry Party

Tuesday night I had the pleasure of stopping by Fenton Fallon in NYC, an amazing little boutique tucked away on the Lower Eastside in Freeman’s Alley. Hosted by owner and creator of Fenton Fallon, Dana Lorenz, guests walked in to find tables full of chains, pendants, spikes and sparkly strands…aka a DIY paradise.

I was super exhausted from the flight into NYC via red eye earlier in the day, but the intimate charm and beats from DJ Belle Du Jour (aka India Jewel Jackson, also with Glam.com) helped me perk up and get my creative on right away. The special cocktails from U’Luvka Vodka and Cookies.com treats also paid homage to a room full of stylish, happy girls. Check out how I did and all the photos after the jump. PostHeaderIcon Sketched: Blogtrepreneuress Yuli Ziv

The second muse in my “sketched” series is the lovely Yuli Ziv of My It Things, Style Coalition, Fashion 2.0 and a well-known social media maven in NYC, among other things. Those who saw my Gala Darling inspired sketch a couple months ago will know I’m slowly getting back into art. So far, I’ve only been using water color pencils on sketch paper (as opposed to stretched water color paper plastered to a wooden board, which is how you’re supposed to do it to avoid shriveled paper).

PostHeaderIcon Shameful Street Style: Manny Pack?

Saw this on the way to work yesterday morning. I don’t know…I get that it’s tough being a guy when it comes to hauling your stuff around, especially in NYC, but invest in a backback dude! Unless you’re Betty White, this is unacceptable.

We also need to discuss that sleeveless hoodie, but baby steps brah…

PostHeaderIcon Behind the Scenes: American Living Shoot

Exciting news! I’ve been working with American Living, a playful designer collection at JCPenney, and the Style Coalition on a cool video campaign. A handful of other fabulous blogs, as shown in the video mash-up, are also participating including Gala Darling, The Coveted, College Fashion, Second City Style, What I Wore, Style Mom, Corporette, Style Bakery and The Budget Babe. In short, the campaign involves a series of mini-webisodes highlighting a special ”moment” from each our lives. For my moment, I chose brunch in NYC with the girls, Julia and Amy. It’s something new to my routine that I look forward to every week, which made filming super quick and easy…we even stayed for an hour after we were done filming doing the exact same thing!

I chose a piece from the American Living summer collection that reflected my moment. Given it’s so hot in NYC right now, a Read the rest of this entry »
