Raw Footage: G-Star Raw Runway @ NYFW
I’ve had the opportunity to attend amazing shows so far at New York Fashion Week, but the one that took me the most by surprise has been the G Star Raw show that took place tonight at the Hammerstein Ballroom. When Jennine from The Coveted told me it was one “not to miss,” I knew I had to make it work (have missed some shows due to conflicting priorities).
Here’s the full video of the runway presentation (13 minutes, but couldn’t allow myself to cut everything..especially the finale..fireworks!). Our seats were fantastic! I don’t Read the rest of this entry »
Moxsie: Indie Fashion Love (15% off code)
I got the sweetest email last week from Moxsie, a new online retailer for independent designers. After browsing through the accessories alone, I knew the rest of you would enjoy it too. Aside from the fact that I like to support independent companies, Moxsie is really easy to navigate, which is important considering it’s so easy to get lost in some sites.
The best part? They created an exclusive discount for Clutch22.com readers - enter CLUTCH at checkout for 15% off through April 10 (free shipping too).

Fashion Decision ‘08 Round Two!
For the second round of Bluefly’s Fashion Decision ‘08, we’ve been asked to weigh in on which candidate rocked the campaign suit best.
Hands down, this one goes to Barack. His look is classic and modern at the same time. I’m particularly fond of his no-tie approach, which exudes a sleek, effortless comfort. I have to give John McCain credit for staying true to his personal style. It might be a little confusing if our Republican nominee took a liberal approach to fashion.
Left-Coasters: Cast your vote for Barack’s outfit below and make sure to select the West!
Clutch Look: Shacker Chic
I love playing dress up in mens clothes, but my boyfriend’s closet full of XL doesn’t exactly compliment my 5′5″ frame. What’s a girl to do? I could either get a smaller boyfriend (think TomKat) or buy my own mens clothes. So…a couple of days ago I picked up a mens shirt and tie from American Apparel.

I wore them yesterday with skinny jeans and pumps to add a feminine touch. My friend Shel commented on how the messy hair perfectly illustrated a “shacker” inspired look. For those who don’t know what shacking means - go check out Greek row on a college campus around 6am.

Wearing:
- Men’s shirt and tie: AA (shirt looks white, but it’s light gray)
- Jeans: Forever 21
- Pumps: XOXO
For The Guys: Cool Color Palette For Fall
When browsing through my favorite thread in the Fashion Spot forums (where people post pics of their outfits), it’s always exciting to see cool outfits from guys, especially Neo. If I were a dude, I’d totally dress like him!
His outfit today included gray/silver tones mixed with navy and a touch of orange…amazing color combo!
I’m also a huge fan of his silver nylon blazer (by Drykorn), but if it’s too funky for your taste, go with a traditional gray fabric. Here’s an outfit I put together using this as inspiration. I couldn’t find an orange belt, but red works too.
