Avon Makes Clothing & Accessories?!
Avon has dominated the beauty category on a global level whether salon products like the Advanced Techniques lotus shield (best frizz control product) or the increasingly popular among my generation, mark makeup line. Awhile back I was invited to an Avon summer preview, so naturally, without looking too much into the invite, I assumed it’d be new beauty products. Upon arriving to the Avon showroom, I was welcomed by a pleasant surprise – a room full of summer dresses, jewelry, accessories and shoes!
Now, if your only experience with Avon is through your mom or grandma, you might expect the clothes to target an older demographic….not in this case! They sent guests home with an adorable boho maxi dress, gold cuffs, earrings and a summer tote. Check out the dress and some of the jewelry: Read the rest of this entry »
Camp Fenton Fallon DIY Jewelry Party
Tuesday night I had the pleasure of stopping by Fenton Fallon in NYC, an amazing little boutique tucked away on the Lower Eastside in Freeman’s Alley. Hosted by owner and creator of Fenton Fallon, Dana Lorenz, guests walked in to find tables full of chains, pendants, spikes and sparkly strands…aka a DIY paradise.
I was super exhausted from the flight into NYC via red eye earlier in the day, but the intimate charm and beats from DJ Belle Du Jour (aka India Jewel Jackson, also with Glam.com) helped me perk up and get my creative on right away. The special cocktails from U’Luvka Vodka and Cookies.com treats also paid homage to a room full of stylish, happy girls. Check out how I did and all the photos after the jump. Clutch Look: Firecracker Birthday Girl
I posted last week about celebrating my birthday, which was July 3, in Seattle. Last Saturday I celebrated with my NYC friends at a cool, divey lounge in the East Village. Despite the disgusting humid heat that had me melting in the subway while en route to meet the fabulous Yuli Ziv for pre-bday dinner, I was pretty excited about my outfit. You know when you find a look, not necessarily planned or intentional, that makes you feel so…you? It’s a rare thing, but love when it happens! This was basically my wardrobe Read the rest of this entry »
Behind the Scenes: American Living Shoot
Exciting news! I’ve been working with American Living, a playful designer collection at JCPenney, and the Style Coalition on a cool video campaign. A handful of other fabulous blogs, as shown in the video mash-up, are also participating including Gala Darling, The Coveted, College Fashion, Second City Style, What I Wore, Style Mom, Corporette, Style Bakery and The Budget Babe. In short, the campaign involves a series of mini-webisodes highlighting a special ”moment” from each our lives. For my moment, I chose brunch in NYC with the girls, Julia and Amy. It’s something new to my routine that I look forward to every week, which made filming super quick and easy…we even stayed for an hour after we were done filming doing the exact same thing!
I chose a piece from the American Living summer collection that reflected my moment. Given it’s so hot in NYC right now, a Read the rest of this entry »
Denim Review: Hudson Jeans Stretch Skinny

Next to bikini shopping, jeans have to be one of the most tricky pieces of clothing to purchase. It doesn’t matter what shape you are, everyone has insecurities they want to flatter and other features they want to accentuate. If you’ve been following Clutch22 for awhile, you might be familiar with my obsession for denim (here’s one example). A couple of months ago, Hudson Jeans sent me their new Kent 5-Pocket Stretch Skinny and they have quickly become a staple in my wardrobe.
To Assume Makes an Ass of U + Me
Though I’ve been following Hudson for awhile, I didn’t purchase my first pair until last December. I’m a pear-shaped girl and assumed that since my long-skinny-legged, little butt friends (you know who you are Ashley, Shelby, Linds) loved the brand; they would never fit me quite right. I was wrong. Ultimately, Hudson won my heart with Read the rest of this entry »
