Ok. I’ve had my hand nearly slapped at least a dozen times over the past month when trying to snap a few pics inside stores on my NYC shopping adventures. Let me preface by saying I understand there are “reasons” why they have these policies in place, but as a PR nerd girl, I’m counting the number of missed opportunities they encounter as a result.

One instance in particular occurred last week at Opening Ceremony. It was my first time in the store and I caught a glimpse of some really intruiging jewelry I wanted to post about. The fourth challenge (out of five) for the Bluefly and StyleList America’s Most Stylish Blogger competition kicked off today and we were tasked with creating a look with this red plaid blouse by Priorities.

I immediately knew I wanted to channel Seattle street casual style and add in a little New York City edge with the thigh high boots. If you’re in NYC, you have to check out the Wendy Brandes Jewelry sample sale next Friday and Saturday. I’ve been drooling over her pieces for so long, it’s time for me to finally indulge next week! So thrilled! Maybe you could drop a note to your boyfriend or husband too…her pieces are definitely on my holiday must list.

The sale runs noon to 8pm on both days at 48 Greenwich Avenue (near Perry Street).
