As promised, here’s a photo of Daniel and how he wore it. In other words – this is how a preppy hipster rocks a holiday look, putting cheesy Christmas sweaters everywhere to shame. Nice work, D, and thanks for being a good sport about the santa hat…and the sparkly decorations I put on your desk…and…I guess it’s no wonder I picked you to be the recipient.

Calling all iPhone girls. For those who haven’t already seen/heard, one of our favorite designers has a techie treat this holiday season. Rebecca Minkoff has a collection of iPhone and iPad accessories available in her eBay boutique. One of my friends has the stud case (above on left) and it looks awesome in person. There are also a couple of leather accessories at higher price points.

Go get ‘um. If not a gift for someone else, then a gift for yourself.

As some of you know, I had the treat of walking in a runway show in June for Kaboodle’s five year anniversary celebration, hosted at Internet Week in NYC. This involved working closely with Kaboodle and Bloomingdale’s to create a look inspired by one of the winning style boards in a contest Kaboodle hosted the weeks leading up to the event. Lucky for me, I got to work with one of my favorite style boards (above on the left) designed by Kaboodle user Sarah08Pig (nice work, girl!).

Little black dress, sparkles, lace, pearls…yes please! To make this ultra glam party look work with my own personal style, which is usually a hybrid of two distinct types of looks (e.g. boho-preppy), I decided to go rock and roll with hair and make-up. Faux hawk, dark and dramatic eyes and a pale lip. You can find out all the details about my outfit from Kaboodle here.

This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do as a blogger and I will be forever grateful to Kaboodle for giving me the opportunity. Not really, but a friend of mine asked this on Facebook today and I thought it’d be interesting to open it up to others. If you recall my post over the holidays about the top 10 gifts a guy should never by a girl, every gift sends a message. When it comes to women, sometimes it doesn’t matter how pure a guy’s intentions are. SO…what do you think?

Is it socially acceptable to give a Groupon printout as a Valentine’s Day gift?
