The 16 year old brand many of us have grown to love, particularly Laguna bronzer (I live by it), is finally getting a home of its own. Located at 413 Bleecker Street, in New York City’s West Village, the Nars Cosmetics store will open Spring 2011 and will feature exclusive items to the location.

As some of you know, I’ve always been a sucker for coupon codes and instant dicsounts, especially if there is something warm and fuzzy attached. Well… Gap is launching a new program tomorrow (October 6) that essentially gives you 30% off new Gap 1969 blues by bringing in your old jeans, which they will then recycle to insultate houses! Check out the video above to get an idea. Talk about  “warm and fuzzy!”  

It gets better! Facebook fans get an additional 10% of. If you do the math, that’s 40% off total from $69.50…you pay $41.70 plus tax, saving almost $30. My two favs from the denim collection are the dark Vintage Flare and dark Forever Skinny.

The campaign ends on October 20.

Avon has dominated the beauty category on a global level whether salon products like the Advanced Techniques lotus shield (best frizz control product) or the increasingly popular among my generation, mark makeup line. Awhile back I was invited to an Avon summer preview, so naturally, without looking too much into the invite, I assumed it’d be new beauty products. Upon arriving to the Avon showroom, I was welcomed by a pleasant surprise – a room full of summer dresses, jewelry, accessories and shoes!

Now, if your only experience with Avon is through your mom or grandma, you might expect the clothes to target an older demographic….not in this case! Leave it to Wendy Brandes to steal my heart again with her “talk to the hand” jewelry smarts (you might recall her swear rings). The newest additions to her sterling silver collection are the OMG and LOLz rings, now available for pre-order. The best part is that she is selling them through Kickstarter, a great site where people share businesses/passions they want to pursue where others can help fund…because every little bit helps.

You might recall the behind the scenes post I wrote last week about my American Living for JC Penney shoot. Well, here it is! The video plays on the American Living “Made for….” campaign and highlights my favorite moment of every week – catching up with my girlfriends over brunch. In this case, I invited Amy from Midtown Girl and Julia DiNardo from Fashion Pulse. Yuli of My It Things/Style Coalition (producer of this project) and Jennine from The Coveted (she was the fab photog) joined us after we were done shooting.
