Guinness is getting into the holiday spirit this season by putting its own spin on a classic tune. They teamed up with British ‘electro folk’ musician James Yuill, to help bring Christmas to life by playing Jingle Bells with a baton on pints of Guinness…Jingle Pints!

I am definitely going to try this next time I’m out with friends. You can get the instructions from the Guinness Jingle Pints Facebook tab. So cool!

Just to be transparent, this came to me through colleagues at my day job who work with Guinness (thanks ladies!).

You might recall the behind the scenes post I wrote last week about my American Living for JC Penney shoot. Well, here it is! The video plays on the American Living “Made for….” campaign and highlights my favorite moment of every week – catching up with my girlfriends over brunch. In this case, I invited Amy from Midtown Girl and Julia DiNardo from Fashion Pulse. Yuli of My It Things/Style Coalition (producer of this project) and Jennine from The Coveted (she was the fab photog) joined us after we were done shooting.

What I especially love about the white eyelet dress I wore  from the American Living summer collection is that in addition to being cute and versatile, it’s lightweight enough to sit outside at brunch without turning into a hot sticky mess. I was a little worried about it during the filming because it was over 90 degrees with no breeze…but no sweat! The best part about the footage of us at brunch was we didn’t even realize we were being filmed until he was almost done! Special thanks to Candela Candela in the East Village for letting us take over a few tables on the patio.

Exciting news! I’ve been working with American Living, a playful designer collection at JCPenney, and the Style Coalition on a cool video campaign. A handful of other fabulous blogs, as shown in the video mash-up, are also participating including Gala Darling, The Coveted, College Fashion, Second City Style, What I Wore, Style Mom, Corporette, Style Bakery and The Budget Babe. In short, the campaign involves a series of mini-webisodes highlighting a special ”moment” from each our lives. For my moment, I chose brunch in NYC with the girls, Julia and Amy. It’s something new to my routine that I look forward to every week, which made filming super quick and easy…we even stayed for an hour after we were done filming doing the exact same thing! 

I chose a piece from the American Living summer collection that reflected my moment. Given it’s so hot in NYC right now, a white cotton eyelet dress was my pick for a sunny sidewalk brunch with friends. It’s on sale for $29.99 from $100! To add my own “flair,” I wore a hot orange belt, chunky wedges and my favorite rings. Julia wore one of the maxi dresses from the summer collection and Amy showed off her preppy side with a pink cardigan and mini beach tote. If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know I’ve been a little busy with the day job lately. I have some free time coming up and I can’t wait to catch up on all the exciting things I’ve seen/heard about so far this spring. Last week when I was cranking away in the office, a little surprise arrived for me from the generous and oh-so-lovely, Vivienne Tam. It was her new HP Mini 210 Butterfly Lovers netbook – GASP!!! She also sent me the matching mouse and an amazing scarf from the spring collection, which I plan to work into some upcoming outfits. Check out the unboxing video above!

Apologies for being wobbly, but hopefully you can see how beautiful it is and how easy it is to set up! Wow…less than three minutes from box to on! The software is a huge bonus since it offers Windows 7 (I can use it for my regular computer) and a few delightful surprises from Vivienne Tam and HP (hint: flying butterflies), so stay tuned for a review! Psst…the Vivienne Tam Buttefly Lovers digital clutch is now available from HP and select retailers starting at $599.99.

Also, speaking of tech and the fact I’ve been busy at work…I used my KIN to do the video, which were automatically uploaded online to my Studio (no cords). From there, I downloaded to my desktop and used Windows Live Movie Maker to slice the video a little (no need to make you watch me cut tape on the box!) and there’s an option to automatically upload to YouTube. I do PR for KIN and my agency does PR for a lot of Microsoft brands, so I don’t usually write about this kind of stuff…however, I thought it was incredibly useful and because of it, you’ll probably see more videos from me. The only reason I haven’t in so long is because it takes a lot of time to go from your camera/flip to desktop to editing to the web. This helps!

P.S. I know I asked this in my last post, but what should I wear to the SATC 2 premiere party next week? I have no time, but am determined to make a statement.
